(Baku): A Cambodian Ministry of Information delegation, led by Undersecretary of State Prak Thav Amida, attended the First CICA Media Forum in Baku on Thursday (Oct. 1) to strengthen regional media cooperation and information security.

Organised by Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency under the theme “Building Trust through Media in a Polarised World,” the forum brought together government officials, media leaders, and communications experts from CICA member states.

Participants discussed public trust, ethical journalism, combating misinformation and disinformation, and the opportunities and challenges posed by AI and social media.

The forum featured two roundtables on Azerbaijan’s CICA chairmanship and the role of media in strengthening social cohesion and intercultural dialogue. The undersecretary of state was invited as a guest speaker at the second session.

Cambodia’s participation reflected its commitment to strengthening information security, regional media cooperation, and understanding among nations.
